This newly released DoD publication describes an opposing force (OPFOR) for training Army units that may encounter 'irregular forces' in contingency operations. The TC addresses the irregular opposing force - usually portrayed by the OPFOR as insurgents, guerrillas, and criminals.

This TC could be helpful to those SFA Advisors and units currently scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan to train, advise, and assist ANSF forces in the counterinsurgency fight currently ongoing in Afghanistan.
