B-1 Bomber

The B-1 Lancer bomber was ushered into service as a long-range bomber designed to deliver nuclear weapons. It was later converted over to conduct bombing missions with non-nuclear bombs. In addiion, it assumed a role in Afghanistan and Iraq as a close-air-support aircraft.
