U.S. Marines in Afghanistan

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) entered Afghanstan late but in a big way. They joined the British, Danish, and other countries in the fight in Nimroz and Helmand provinces in southwest Afghanistan. The Marines, departing Camp Leatherneck and other locations in these two provinces finally left in late 2014.
